Hello Harris Creek families, this is Mrs. Sanchez with some important announcements.
Teacher Appreciation Week for Tracks 1, 2, and 4 is this week. Please help us celebrate our teachers through
the following themes. Track 3 Teacher Appreciation Week will be May 18-22.
Monday- Movie Night (movie candy, popcorn, movie tickets, Redbox gift card, etc…)
Tuesday- Restock Teacher Supplies (sticky notes, pens, highlighters, clips, etc…)
Wednesday- Pamper Your Teacher (Lotion, candles, tea, coffee, chocolate, etc…)
Thursday- Thank You Note
Friday- Use your own creativity
Students can purchase Candy Grams at the school store on Tuesday and Thursday of this week for Teacher
Appreciation for $.25 each.
The 3rd Grade Teachers will be hosting a parent EOG informational night on Tuesday, May 5 at 5:30pm for
Tracks 1 & 2. They will host Tracks 3 & 4 EOG Parent Night on Wednesday, May 27 at 5:30pm. These meetings
will be held in the media center.
Monday, May 11 will be our Spring Celebration. The evening will begin at 6pm with a general PTA meeting
followed by the volunteer recognition, chorus, salsa club, and step team performances.
We will have school on the following Saturdays for Tracks 1, 3, and 4- May 16, which will be a half day from
8:45-12:45pm and Saturday, May 30, which will be full day.
We are in need of proctors for our EOG’s for May 15, May 18, May 19, and May 20. If you have one of these
days free and can come in to help us, please sign up on our website. You will go to the “Volunteer
Opportunities” link about halfway down the main page on the left. You will need to sign up for a training
session as well.
Mrs. Roberson is looking for donations of clean 2-liter plastic soda bottles and half-gallon juice cartons for
STEM. If you have any you can donate, please drop them off in the front office for her.
Track 3 returns Wednesday, May 13. Track 2 tracks out after Tuesday, May 12.
Mark your calendars for Friday, May 22 for a family night at United Skates of America off Capital Boulevard.
If your child received a ticket voucher for turning in their bully-free pledge, you can redeem these tickets at the
Durham Bulls will call center on either May 17 or May 31.
Harris Creek families...Thank you for your Original Art fundraiser orders.
The expected delivery dates are:
Track 1 - May 28 & 29th,
Tracks 3 & 4 - June 1st & 2nd
Track 2 - June 3rd & 4th
Your support for the art department is truly appreciated. Thank you to all of the hardworking volunteers that
helped with this endeavour.

Please stop by the State Employees Credit Union - Triangle Town Center to see some of our fabulous Harris
Creek artists exhibited. 4th Grade Name designs will be displayed until May 15th then 3rd Grade Landscapes
until June 15th.
