Application for the STUD DOG or BROOD BITCH LIFETIME AWARD

Requirements for the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch Award:
The Stud Dog or Brood Bitch must be owned by a GITCA member in good standing and does not have to be an AKC
Conformation Champion, but must have produced 5 offspring that have earned AKC Conformation Championships over
any time period. The offspring do not have to be owned by GITCA members.
DEADLINE: Applications received by Aug. 15
award will be presented that October at the National Specialty.
If received after August 15, then the award will be presented at the banquet the following October. There is no actual
deadline for this Lifetime Award and you may apply at any time as long as the requirements are met. Please print your
personal information clearly so the GITCA Year-end Awards Committee can contact you if there are any issues regarding
this application. If you have any questions, send an email to the address at the bottom of the application.

Photocopies of the AKC Championship Certificates are accepted. Alternatively, reports of their
championships/points can be printed from the AKC online store and submitted with this
application. See the instructions on the next page for obtaining the AKC reports.

To look up AKC championships, titles, and points on a dog:








Go to www.akc.org and click on ‘store’
Under ‘AKC Reports’, click on ‘Competitor Reports’
Click on ‘Individual Dog Award Record and Points Progression’
Click on ‘Find a Dog’
Search by Registration Number or by Breed and Name
Click ‘Search’
Click on the Registration Number of the dog you are interested in
Click on ‘View Points/Summary of the Title Progression for this dog’
The resulting report will show the complete AKC registered name of the dog including championships
& titles. In addition, the number of CH/GCH points & majors, and legs earned in Obedience, Agility,
Earthdog, etc. will be listed.
To submit information to the GITCA Year-end Awards Committee, print out the report and send us a
copy along with the application for the award you are applying for.
