November Noodlegram
Note:
 I had in here before to do a “Take a pic with a Noodles something or other and
post it to facebook etc.” but I realized there’s nothing cool they can take with
them from the restaurants. WHAT IF…we created something like a World ID
Card and they could use that? We start the promotion in December, cards can
be picked up in store and they win something for posting their pics of where
they are around the world with Noodles?
Subject Line:
 What do Bangkok, Unicorns, Frogs and Lasagna have in common?
FEATURE STORY
Head/Sub:
We’re going exploring…
And you’re invited.
Body:
This month we kick off our tour of the world’s most interesting cuisines and the cities in
which they were born. First stop – Bangkok, Thailand. Home to more than 8 million
people, it’s a city known for Buddhism, the Grand Palace, Khao San Road, floating
markets and of course…some incredibly delicious food.
When hunger hits in Bangkok, look no farther than the street for a taste of truly
authentic Thai cuisine. Bangkok’s street food offers a delectable journey for the
epicurious. From savory pork rice to fresh rice noodles with curry, stuffed flatbread and
everyone’s favorite - Pad Thai, you can walk and eat for miles.
If you’re interested in adding a twist to your daily meal, check out the Ban Nam Pueng
Floating Market. Locals stock their wooden rowboats with fresh vegetables, fruits,
charcoal grills, soup cauldrons and coconut juice, all to serve customers a
mouthwatering feast from their little floating kitchens.
Not headed to Bangkok anytime soon? You can still get a taste of the real thing, right in
your very own backyard. Take a look… (link to www.noodles.com/food).

PORK – BAND RECAP
Head/Sub Option 1:
Our new pork rocks.
(to the tune of almost $24,000)
Body:
What do 91 marching bands, 20 different states (?), over 3,000 people and almost
$24,000 have in common?
Why our new pork of course!
We really love our slow-braised pork (which you can probably tell by now). So we
decided to announce its arrival in Noodles nationwide by creating a little fanfare –
marching band style. In the process, we thought it’d be a great way to help local school
bands raise a little money for their organizations. We never guessed it would be so
successful! But we knew it would be a lot of fun. Check it out! (link to ? to show video)
GIFT CARD – SNIPE VERSION 1
Head/Sub:
Pretend you planned ahead
(gift cards on sale now – at grocery stores too!)
Body:
Make gift giving easy this year. Pick up a Noodles & Company Crave Card at grocery
stores (are there certain ones?) nationwide. Or grab ‘em online at
www.noodles.com/giftcards. Of course you can always pick one up the next time you’re
at Noodles… Now that’s what we call multi-tasking.

TESSA’S TIPS SECTION
Section Title/Sub:
Tessa’s Tips
Culinary Bites from Chef Tessa, R.D.
Head/Sub:
Go rogue this Thanksgiving
With Chef Tessa’s special lasagna.
Body:
What happens when Chef Tessa invites you into her kitchen? If you’re under 12 years
old, and eager to help, you quickly become a sous chef. Take a look (link to blog) at
what the team created with a bunch of vegetables, a pile of cheese, spaghetti sauce
and a little Italian sausage…
[image tbd. I will forward a You Send It file to Jen from Holly that might have images
that would work]

Unicorn Picture
They really do exist!
We knew it.
A big thank you to Cole Bellomo for snapping this pic to prove that unicorns really DO
exist. At least at Noodles & Company they do… Have a fun Noodles & Company photo
to share? Email it to xxxx@noodles.com and it could be featured in a future issue of our
Noodlegram! (should we also promote Pinterest here?)

Frog on Bench
And while we’re talking about unicorns…
What about frogs who like to kick back and relax on a bench - just like us non-frogs
might do? You’ve got to see it to believe it! (link to:

Do you know how to create a Dessert Occasion?
When that craving for something sweet hits, don’t stuff a chocolate bar in your
mouth…create a Dessert Occasion. Trust us, it’s much more satisfying. Start by inviting
a friend to come to Noodles. You know, the friend that always makes you laugh. Add
one or two of our creamy rich treats like DESSERT NAMES HERE. Top it all off with
your favorite hot tea or a nice Café Lungo. Voila! Dessert Occasion.
(Columbus, OH; Cincinnati, OH; Raleigh, NC; Minneapolis, MN)
Objective: to let people know we are hiring FMMs in a way that doesn’t sound desperate
and properly conveys how awesome and life-changing this opportunity is.
Copy might read something like:
Are you a field marketing expert who loves Noodles & Company so much you crave Mac
& Cheese for breakfast? If so, we might want to be in a relationship with you. Check out
our personal ad:
Ridiculously passionate and fun brand seeks equally fun and passionate marketing guru
who loves inspiring others with unique marketing and promotions tactics. Foodie
preferred. We’re not on Match.com or Hot or Not so just drop us a line at
Corprecruiting@noodles.com if you want to talk more.
Should be fun, but I don’t want to get into the nitty-gritty details of the job since it won’t
be relevant to a lot of readers. But I think we can set this up so even people who aren’t
qualified would read it and think ‘huh, that sounds like a cool brand to work for’.
