Recognized Student Organization Space Registration
This form must be completed in its entirety and approved
by a Student Involvement staff member before space will be
allocated. Please return form to Student Involvement in the
Rhatigan Student Center, RSC 216.
Mailbox/ Locker Agreement
Student Involvement mailboxes and lockers are allocated to officially recognized student
organizations that meet specified criteria. There is a considerable demand for the free student
organization mailboxes and lockers located in Student Involvement. Recognized Student
Organizations interested in applying for mailboxes or lockers will be allocated on a first come first
serve basis until resources are no longer available.
Only lockers can be used to store items.
Application and Assignment Process
Student Involvement follows an ongoing policy that allows recognized student organizations to
apply for and occupy mailboxes and lockers, and is subject to the following conditions:
1. The applying student organization must be a current recognized student organization for the
application year.
2. The applying student organization shall submit a completed application by October 1, 2015.
3. The mailboxes and lockers are to be used for organizational purposes for the group. The
mailboxes and lockers may not be used for commercial enterprises.
4. Groups must re-apply for mailboxes and/or lockers on an annual basis (August – May).
5. A current officer of the organization must sign and see that all members abide by the terms
and conditions set forth by the Mailbox/Locker Agreement.
Conditions of Use
To maintain continued use of the Student Involvement mailboxes and/or lockers, student
organizations must adhere to all applicable state and University regulations and building policies.
1. The organization must maintain recognized student organization status at all times of
occupancy.
2. The student organization must comply with all items in the Space Agreement.
Safety and Security
1. It is recommended that items of value not be stored in lockers or mailboxes.
2. Items of value should be kept with you at all times (i.e., purses, backpacks, cell phones, etc.)
3. Flammable/combustible liquids and other hazardous materials are prohibited.
4. Organizational checks and/or cash should not be stored in lockers or mailboxes.
5. No live animals will be permitted except for service animals.
6. Lockers in Student Involvement are provided with combination locks. Those wishing to
restrict access need to make arrangements with the staff.
7. Student Involvement staff and student assistants are not responsible for items stolen or
misplaced in Student Involvement.
Maintenance of Mailboxes/Lockers
1. Occupants are responsible for keeping their lockers clean and removing any opened food
items on a daily basis.
2. Groups may be assessed fees for damages outside the everyday wear to mailboxes and
lockers.
3. Nails, tacks, staples and tape are not permitted for general use on building surfaces. Tacks,
tape and staples may only be used on surfaces approved for posting.
Waiting List
Groups eligible for space but not assigned a space will be placed on a waiting list. As space becomes
available during the year, groups on the list are offered a space based on their position on the list
and if they meet the criteria above.

my organization’s storage privileges may be revoked.
