August Identify secondary teachers who qualify as adjunct faculty. High school teachers who are credentialed must have a masters degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the respective discipline. August Submit graduate transcripts to preferred college vice president or department head to review graduate Teachers/ College coursework for credentialing. Recommend the teachers so the dual enrollment specialist for next steps. partners August Confirm and advise students on the courses, college majors, and prerequisites. Counselors should inform Counselors students and parents of college-level course expectations including attendance and additional study and work obligations. College courses begin on August 24, 2013. August Review college eligibility requirements for the dual enrollment program and students must complete Students/ Parents/ Counselors college application. Verification and consent forms must be submitted and approved by the Dual Enrollment, Office of Academic Affairs office. Official high school transcripts with ACT scores must be submitted with applications. Principals/ College Partners August/ September Complete the TSAC Dual Enrollment Grant online before the deadline each semester. Students that are Counselors/ Students/ NOT eligible for the grant are NOT allowed to register for a course. Parents August/ September Host a Dual Enrollment Orientation with eligible students and parents. Counselors August Submit rosters of Dual Enrollment students to Academic Affairs office. Counselors August Submit a College Textbook request form to Academic Affairs office. Counselors August/ September Submit a request form to have Dual Enrollment courses added to the schools SMS data base. Counselors August Students must sign a College Textbook Agreement form to be kept on file at the high school to ensure that books are returned at the end of each semester. Counselors September Submit any college withdrawal forms to the Academic Affairs Office before the withdrawal deadline. All withdrawals must be approved by the school principal and the Academic Affairs Office. Counselors/ Students/ Principals Sept. – Nov. Send Academic Alerts to students, parents, counselors and Academic Office for students experiencing academic difficulty. Adjunct Faculty/ College Partners October Review mid-term grades to determine if academic support is needed.
