July 2015 News from Bdecan Presbyterian Church:
Camp FaHoCha:
Three of the youth from Bdecan had a fantastic week at Camp FaHoCha June 22 - 26. They were all smiles
when I got a chance to go and visit while they were at camp. I had some great conversation with the directors of
the camp, and other staff. What a special place Camp FaHoCha is. Bdecan has many connections and a long
history with this Bible Camp. They really care about their campers, and do an amazing job.
A full week at Camp FaHoCha is about $150, which is a pretty good deal. Would you, your group, or your
congregation please consider sponsoring a camper from Bdecan for a week? If you cannot sponsor a week, how
about a 2 day camp ($65) or 3 day camp ($90) for an 8-10 year old at Bdecan?
The 3 youth from Bdecan were able to go to FaHoCha with full camp scholarships from Westminster
Presbyterian Church in Devils Lake. I would love to have more kids from Bdecan go to FaHoCha next summer.
I know that there were other kids wishing they could go this year. Camp FaHoCha is a great place, close to the
church, with an outstanding program. Would you please consider donating to our Bible Camp Fund?

Northern Plains Presbytery mission teams:
Bdecan Presbyterian Church is still looking for local mission teams to come this summer. Whatever skills your
team has, we can use you. If your team likes building and construction work, the manse needs new windows
installed before next winter.
If you would like more information on planning a mission trip to Bdecan Presbyterian Church, please contact
Joe Obermeyer, the Youth and Outreach Coordinator.

Plans are coming together for the 2nd Annual Historic Bdecan Friends Day on Sat., Aug 29th from 10 am to 4
pm at the Bdecan Presbyterian Church just outside of Tokio, near Wood Lake. The Bdecan Ministry Team is
hard at work planning a very special day. This is a family day, so kids, parents, grandparents, and everyone else
is welcomed to come.
There will be games, food, and entertainment. We will also have some items up for auction that are made on the
Spirit Lake Reservation. If you have never been to Bdecan before, now's the time to come and check out what's
happening. If you have been here before, I’m sure there have been changes from your last visit. Please make
plans to attend.
Please come and see the differences that your financial gifts are making at Bdecan Presbyterian Church.
Some of the activities that day will include
Learning about and riding horses
Tours of the reservation
Games on the Lawn
Joe’s Puppet crew
A silent auction with at least
2 Star Quilts
Fry Bread Tacos
Please bring lawn chairs for you and your family.
Our Family Labels:
Join Bdecan Presbyterian Church as we continue collecting “Our Family” labels. The deadline for labels has
been extended to July of 2016. Bdecan will get 5 cents for every label collected. So next time you buy any our
family products, please take a minute and clip off the barcode on back. If possible, please put labels in groups of
25. This makes it easier to send in the labels.
Please mail labels to:

Kellogg’s Family Rewards:
Kellogg’s is unfortunately changing the way that they give rewards. Instead of printing codes in boxes and on
the bags, you will now have to upload your receipts for KFR products to the www.kelloggsfamilyrewards.com
website. There are too many stipulations to do a presbytery wide collection now. If you are still interested in
collecting individually, please go to www.kelloggsfamilyrewards.com website, and read all that involved in
getting rewards. Please feel free to sign up, start collecting points individually, and you can donate the prizes to
Bdecan if you would like.
Giving to Bdecan:
One of the ways you can give Bdecan is through an online giving program through the Northern Plains
Presbytery. Go to www.bdecanpresbyterianchuch.org, and go to the donations page. Click on online giving link,
and it will take you to the Northern Plains ministry page. Click on donate next to Bdecan, and it will take you
where you need to go. It is a very easy, safe, and secure way to give to Bdecan Presbyterian Church online. You
can give once or more than once, it’s your choice.
There are three different areas where you can contribute to Bdecan.
You can contribute to the Bdecan Food Pantry, the General Bdecan Account, or the Youth and
Outreach Coordinator position.
If you prefer to send a check, make it payable to Presbytery of the Northern Plains, and write
Bdecan Presbyterian Church in the memo line.
Also in the memo line, please designate your contribution to one of the above areas.
And mail to:
Please mail your check to:
Presbytery of Northern Plains
5555 South Washington Street
Grand Forks, ND 58201
Their phone number is: (701) 772-0783
Would you please prayerfully consider giving a financial gift to support the ministry at Bdecan Presbyterian
Church? Your gifts will help to enhance the ministry at Bdecan for years to come.
Blessings!
