WORK EXPERIENCE
MEDITERRANEAN SHIPPING COMPANY (MSC PANAMA)
March 2014 – Nowadays

Person in charge to coordinate pilot for docking and undocking maneuvers
in order to be alongside from Panama Port Company or Singapore Terminal
(PSA) (Balboa).

Once vessel alongside, person in charge to check safety conditions for
cargo operations of vessel.

Get on board of the vessel and speak with Master, regarding all the
attentions that will receive at berth.

Coordinate all attentions for the vessels that will dock or are arriving to
Panamanian waters, such as: Bunker barge supply, diesel supply,
provisions, spares, VDR repairs, sludge disposal, garbage disposal, fresh
water supply, provisions from different suppliers.

Keep monitoring all cargo operations until cargo is completed.

In case of any damage on board due to operators, or any other reason, I
should inform all team in charge of repairs, and in case any delay, report to
ship planning.

Keep informed to all the world through email, (MSC GENNEVA PLANNING,
MSC PLANNING CAUCEDO, and main people in charge of the operations
around the world of MSC vessels).

Make arrangements for crew of different vessels to go doctor for different
reasons.

Maintenance of weather deck, and holds making shipping and recovering all
deck by shipping, painting with 3 bases of primer and after normal paint.

Prepare all documents onboard before arrival and before departure for port
authorities and customs.

Check and change all safety equipment’s onboard the life boats(food, water,
oars, checklist, pyrotechnics signals.), firefighting hoses, fire extinguishers,
pumps of firefighting pipes to each hydrant, recovering all signals onboard,
greasing main valves for hydrants.

Check and updates charts onboard.

Helmsman approaching to port and departing on each port.

Call to pilot’s stations to confirm the time for pilot onboard.

Make risk jobs on high altitudes, painting mast, cleaning bridge windows
from outside.


Review all crew for all their duties in the time of making drills.

Check all radio equipment onboard that they are properly working

Check soundings on each ballast tanks.

Watch on gangway on port by six hours.

Check all SOPEP equipment for any kind of spill or licking on deck ad the
moment of taking bunker or diesel from barge.
