DESCRIPTION
Parents will receive instruction on how to navigate
internet, how to navigate electronic communication tools,
and learn how to type with two hands,
Non-English speaking parents can learn basic
conversational English.
Parents and Staff will chose an interest book and engage in
discussion regarding theme, plot, characters, authors point
of view, style, and climax,
Parents can learn basic Math skills utilizing on-line
programs.
Word Generation, our school wide academic vocabulary
building program, will be presented to parents including an
overview of the lesson topics and how to integrate the
vocabulary words at home.
Math teachers will present their curriculum (Glencoe
Math) to the families. Additionally, teachers will share
content information, grading policy and have a Q and A
session.
Staff will present unpacked Math standards to presents
and share strategies for supporting student progress
towards meeting proficiency.
ELA teachers will present their curriculum (CodeX) to the
families. Additionally, teachers will share content
information, grading policy and have a Q and A session.
Staff will present unpacked ELA standards to presents and
share strategies for supporting student progress towards
meeting proficiency.
Data Specialist will share reading comprehension data with
Parents and explain the implications for student progress
and what strategies parents can use to support student
learning.
SS teachers will present their curriculum to the families.
Additionally, teachers will share content information,
grading policy and have a Q and A session.

The Dean of Students will present the Bronx Math PBIS
matrix M.A.T.H. and explain the positive rewards system.
