ESM Table S1 Allele calls at 10 loci for the strain of Symbiodinium trenchii found
associated with Siderastrea glynni. The frequencies of these alleles, based on analyses
from three separate populations, are listed. The likelihood of origin for this genotype was
calculated by dividing the relative probability for this complete multi-locus genotype
occurring in the Caribbean divided by the relative probability for it occurring in the
Indian Ocean (giving a likelihood ratio of 1:124,266). The allele for sym 93 has yet to be
found in the western Pacific (grey shading)
