Anywhere with vegetated cover (grassy fields, planter beds,
bark/mulch surfaces, etc)
3. a place where rain cannot enter the ground (an impervious surface)
Cement/ asphalt surfaces (sidewalk, paved areas, etc)
4. a place where evaporation occurs
Mostly anywhere uncovered, exposed to air/sun
5. a place where evapotranspiration occurs
Plants & trees!
6. an area with concentrated flows
Drainage pipes or culverts, curbs directing water towards storm
drains
7. five sources of pollution that could get into storm drains
trash, corroding metal, animal poop, fertilizers (/field), unsealed or
leaky containers, dripping cars (/parking lots)
