We, at Tri-Central Elementary, strive to build individuals with Good Character. Character- that part of you that demonstrates who you are, how you treat others and how others perceive or see you Building Good Character is as simple as Treating People Right and Doing the Right Thing-Mr. Miller’s motto The formula for building one’s character =E+R=O: When given an Event (E), how you Choose to Respond (R), will decide the Outcome(O). The process of developing and building one’s character happens ALL day long, EVERY DAY for each of us. We have thousands of Events (E) happen to us every day, ALL day. Things like…. Waking up, Getting Ready for School Eating Breakfast Meeting the Bus Packing our Bags to go to School Walking in the hall Standing in line Doing our assignments in class Playing with Friends Doing Homework Talking to others….on and on and on….. How we CHOOSE to Respond(R), to EACH and EVERY one of these events determines the Outcome (O) whether it be positive or negative. Positive Outcomes Build a Person with Good Character (that part of us that grows and develops over time. As we practice Treating People Right and Doing the Right Thing—Mr. Miller’s Motto-- We develop our character.
