The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) organization at Prudential is responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risk globally by ensuring that the company has a comprehensive framework for understanding the risks embedded in and across its businesses and corporate functions. We apply our knowledge of market, insurance, investments, and operational risks to effectively manage them, evaluate current and future risk challenges and opportunities, and ultimately enhance shareholder value. The Risk Management Development Program (RMDP) is an eighteen month rotational development experience providing a select number of Associates with an opportunity to build a strong foundation in risk management concepts and principles that would lead to a future career in the risk management field. As a member of ERM, Associates will participate in rotations across the various risk areas – Market Risk, Investment Risk, Insurance Risk, Operational Risk and Risk Assessment & Identification. Within the Operational Risk organization, Associates may rotate through one of our corporation functions or business risk groups such as Asset Management, Retirement, Individual Life Insurance, or Group Insurance where they will learn about the multitude of products and services we provide to individuals and institutions around the world. Graduates continue their development by taking on challenging assignments and helping to drive innovation, strategy, and execution. Overall, the RMDP represents a unique opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of risk management in the financial services industry while building a valuable skill set that will lead to a rewarding career at Prudential. Program Summary Details: • 18 month rotational development program • Job rotations focusing on various risk types - market, investment, insurance, and operational • Formal training on technical, managerial, and other critical skills • Senior level mentor for each RMDP Associate • A full-time position upon successful completion of the program based on organizational needs, individual performance, and career interests Associate Responsibilities: • Prepare research and analyses related to the identification, assessment, and prioritization of risks across the organization • Work independently and in consultation with management to scope, plan, and manage complex projects arising from day-to-day business activities as well as regulatory oversight • Develop various risk metrics and reports, draft policies and procedures to strengthen the internal control environment, and participate in risk stress testing • Attend all required training and program functions What We Look For: • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Liberal Arts • Minimum 3.2 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) • Intellectual curiosity, superior quantitative, analytical, communication (verbal & written), and leadership skills • Resourcefulness, flexibility, and creativity; process-oriented with strong organization and multi-tasking skills • Ability to work independently as well as cohesively in team environments • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Any applicant selected for this position will be required to submit to an extensive background screening.
