Nursing 230: Nursing Care of the Child-Rearing Family Clinical Nursing Simulation Center (CNSC) Information As part of your clinical experience, you will you will participate in scheduled clinical simulations in the CNSC. Clinical Simulations: Pediatric Medication Administration Week Three To demonstrate competency in clinical judgment, you must: 1) Accurately calculate pediatric dosages. 2) Administer oral and rectal medications to a simulation manikin. 3) Administer an intramuscular injection to a simulation manikin. Pediatric Physical Assessment Week Eleven To demonstrate competency in clinical judgment, you must: 1) State normal parameters for measurements and vital signs in selected pediatric age groups. 2) Properly performs assessment techniques for each body system relative to selected pediatric age group
