Pediatric Procedures: oral and IM medication administration —principles for safety; otic medication administration; importance of developmentally appropriate diversion with procedures

Hirschsprung’s Disease, Intussusception, Pyloric Stenosis--Focus on pathology, symptoms, medical management , and pre and post op nursing care for each of these entities .

Tracheoesophageal Fistula (TEF)Esophageal atresia —signs and symptoms, nursing interventions if child exhibits sx. Prenatal symptoms the mom might manifest

Autism: review common symptoms including unique factors like repetitive movements, repetition of sounds and the terms affiliated with these characteristics or developmental characteristics seen in the infant and young toddler

Adolescence and Adolescent Pregnancy: review growth and developmental attributes/behaviors of early , middle , and late adolescents. Know Tanner’s stages for boys and girls. Review teaching for scoliosis assessment and treatment, especially with brace. Review risks and priorities of care focusing on adolescent’s needs and impact on fetus in adolescent pregnancy.

We will have class after the exam for approximately 60 minutes focusing on Infancy Problems 1 so plan on the whole 2 hours and 15 minutes for class. Thanks, Lynn and Rachael
