Local Scholarship Deadline-Feb 2nd-additional materials (SAR page 1 part 1 and
financial aid award letters)-due by 4/1/15

Scholarship Scams-Don’t apply to scholarships that require a fee to apply. Also be
careful of sponsors that say that you have “won” but require you to pay a “redemption
fee” before you receive the funds

You still need to apply for financial aid at all your colleges:
○ CSS/Profile-used by some private colleges: https://student.collegeboard.org/cssfinancial-aid-profile
○ As of January 1st, all Colleges require FAFSA: https://fafsa.ed.gov/ . You can
apply for a pin number now
○ Some colleges may have additional forms-check each Financial aid website

○ Every college has a netprice calculator-it will estimate what you might receive for
financial aid, College Board also provides this service for many colleges:

○ To get an estimate for your need what you might qualify for federal aid, check out
