It will discuss how we can live a better Christian life and help others do the same. There will be a comparison between biblical counsel and psychological counsel. Mp3 Teaching Pastor: Bob Hoekstra Class Materials: 14 MP3 classes How to Counsel God's Way by Bob Hoekstra Class Requirements: Listen to all of each message and write one FULL page, 1.5 spaced, of notes per message (600-700 words) about the content and application of the message. Biblical Counseling - Confrontation Listen to the message by Phil Metzger. Read the paper on Biblical Counseling What are some general presuppositions we can make regarding behavior and counseling? There are six of them. Summarize them. What is the Basis for Biblical Counseling? Do an in depth study on 2 Timothy 3:15-17. What are the five key words in this passage in regards to Biblical Counseling? Describe them. This paper should be 1800-3600 pages. See the syllabus for paper writing guidelines. Assignments: Class notes (14 classes) Topical Paper Book Study Guide Important Notes: Directly copying (word for word) from the Bible commentaries (even from the Bible software) is NOT permitted. Copying from someone else’s work and not giving the credit to the person but trying to look like it is your work is called "plagiarism." Please note that this is a serious offence, and this will cause you to fail your class. However, you can still read and use someone else’s work as long as you use quotation marks ("…") and then state the source of the information used. If you do this, please add footnotes and also to make sure to include an additional page of bibliography (works cited) to your paper. Please limit the use of quotations to those quotes that are directly relevant to your topic. Research papers are to be the end result of research put into your own words and understanding – not copying another’s work.
