the pool. A big thank-you to Darren for organizing a fantastic
outing for everyone.

welcome all swimmers to come along and join in, even if this is not your
regular swim night. Teams will be put together on the night.
COACH -PARENT MEETING - Monday 19th October
Jenny will hold a Parent's Meeting at the Clubrooms at WAVES, 6.00pm
where she will outline the coaching plans for the new season and
provide some insights into phases of swim training the squads will be
doing over the summer months. This is a great opportunity to learn
more about swimming and to ask any questions and offer suggestions.
All welcome.

Smith.
CARNIVAL NEWS
All our coaches have current national coaching accreditation with the
Australian Swim Coaches and Teachers Association (ASCTA) as well as
current registration with Swimming Victoria and current Working-WithChildren Checks. Together they have almost thirty years of experience in
coaching and teaching swimming, from Introductory Squad swimmer to
Junior Development swimmer, through to State and National level
competitors, including Fitness for Adults swimming.
Three Swimmers competed at the Victorian State
Championships at MSAC, Annie Marquison, Zoe Deacon and
Harrison Evans. All three swam well with many PBs being
achieved across all their events. Zoe made it to into the 100m
and 200m Breastroke finals and also the 200 Medley final, this
was a great achievement after being at camp the week before
and doing some major hiking. Harrison swam in a straight final
for the 200m Butterfly. We should all be very proud of these
swimmers making state qualifying times. A big thank you also to
Jenny for being there for our swimmers.

Septembers Winner was April Monte for a standout performance at
SC country Championships in Ballarat. Congratulations April!
*We have finally been successful with the Bunnings BBQ. Thank you
to John and Jodie House for organizing this. The date they have
given us is Saturday 19th December. It is a Crazy time of the year
but I guess a week out from Christmas we should sell a lot of snags!
We will need helpers for this so keep this date free if you can.
WODONGA COUNCIL CHILDRENS FAIR SUNDAY 25TH October
WE NEED YOUR HELP. Our club will be running a stall at the fair with
the aim being to use it as a membership drive and promote the club.
We will also be asking for some volunteers to help man the stall for a
short time during the day. We would like to have some of our
swimmers come along and help promote the club and run some of
the swim dryland exercises for kids visiting the stall.
*We still need help for the clean up at the children fair, this is
Separate to the Membership Drive at the Children's Fair, the club
has the opportunity to earn much needed funds by doing a 2 hour
clean up at the venue 4- 6 pm. This is not difficult work and council
will provide gloves and bags. No emptying of bins required- just
wheel them to a designated collection spot. Further details to
follow and talk to Lisa if you are able to pitch in and help.
*If you are looking at refinancing, opening a new account or getting
a credit card Hume Banks Reward program for community clubs is
fantastic. It’s a great way to raise those extra funds for our club.
A big thank you to Tammy Dean and Elaine Payne for meeting last
Wednesday to get things started for the Children’s fair it truly
sounds like its going to be a fun day for the kids.
