Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Colorado Springs
Operations Manager
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for assisting the general manager in the dayto-day operations of the Pike Peak Habitat for Humanity ReStore. The position assists the general
manager in achieving operational, financial, administrative, and customer goals.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:









Assist with opening and closing of the ReStore for scheduled daily hours.
Assist with general oversight of store operations with store general manager.
Assist with daily sales/cash register reconciliation and deposits as needed.
Act as manager-on-duty in the absence of the General Manager.
Manage/oversee Donation pick-up process, managing requests and producing daily and weekly.
Assist in marketing and outreach, to raise awareness of the store.
Secure donations by visiting vendors, suppliers, contractors and other sources of donated product.
Supervisory position.
Other duties as assigned by ReStore General Manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:









Operate forklift.
Knowledge of Habitat for Humanity’s Mission and ReStore’s Mission.
Must be a good listener and be able to engage in well-considered discussions.
Must be willing to understand the big picture of the HFH/ReStore ministry.
Must pass Criminal Background Check and Sexual Offender Check.
Computer knowledgeable; including Microsoft Word & Excel (PowerPoint and QuickBooks a
plus). Must have willingness to learn other programs as needed.
Ability to provide leadership and supervision to staff and volunteers while having the ability to
perform most tasks in the absence of staff or volunteers.
Ability to operate office equipment including copiers, fax machines, etc.
Ability to operate material handling equipment including power fork lift, merchandising carts,
etc.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE:





Sales experience required.
Minimum of three years’ work experience in retail sales, preferably two years in a related role.
Prior construction and/or retail experience is a plus.
Ability to work in a team environment, strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and can work in
a fast paced environment.
Bachelor degree in Business is desired, relevant work experience will be considered.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THIS JOB:




Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
Work may require considerable standing, bending, kneeling and reaching in awkward and tiring
positions.
Bulk of time will be spent standing, walking and otherwise assisting customers.
Willingness to work weekends, some evenings, overtime as required and holidays.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS:

Most work is performed indoors and outdoors.
COMPENSATION:

This is a salary, exempt position.
