Hi, my name is Cambria Bouzigard. I am the Advisor for all Nursing, Dietetics, Athletic Training,
Communicative Disorders, and Allied Health Pre-Professional Majors. Here are some things you
need to know about scheduling for your major:
All:
 You will schedule UNIV 101- College of Nursing and Allied Health
 You can only begin taking your BIOL 114 & 115 classes if you have no developmental
classes (MATH 116 and/or English 100).
 If you have a Fine Arts listed on your schedule choose from ART 110 or MUS 105.
Nursing:
 History electives include 101 & 102 (Western Civilization), 150 & 151 (World History) and
255 & 256 (American History). Pick one of the six listed.
 Students are limited to a total of three (3) repeated courses among the 35 prerequisite
hours to be eligible to apply to the clinical component of the BSN program.
 Completion of the first 35 hours of the BSN curriculum with a grade of “C” or higher in each
class, and overall GPA of 2.75 or higher. A grade of “C” and 2.75 GPA is a minimum standard
only and does not guarantee admission to the clinical course sequence of the BSN program.
 All prerequisites (first 35 hours) must be completed by the end of the spring semester for fall
placement and by the end of the fall semester for spring placement.
Dietetics:
 PSYC elective-Can choose from any PSYC class that you meet pre-reqs for. Most common
will be PSYC 101.
 History electives include 101 & 102 (Western Civilization), 150 & 151 (World History) and
255 & 256 (American History). Pick one of the six listed.
Communicative Disorders:
 You have the option of a Biology elective. The preferred Biology electives are BIOL 114 &
116. These courses will better prepare you for grad school.
 You can choose MATH 101 or 117. If you plan to take other math classes or may change
your major it would be best to take MATH 101.
 History electives include 101 & 102 (Western Civilization), 150 & 151 (World History) and
255 & 256 (American History). Pick one of the six listed.
