School Improvement Program (SIP)
 All Title I campuses must make Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for participation
and performance on the State assessment (TAKS and STAAR).
 If a campus misses in the same indicator (reading, mathematics, attendance
rate, or graduation rate) for two consecutive years, the campus is identified for
School Improvement.
 For 2011-2012 school year, the federal accountability system mandated that
campuses must meet the following to avoid School Improvement identification for
2012-2013:
o 95% test participation;
o 87% performance standard for reading/English language arts;
o 83% performance standard for mathematics;
o 90% attendance rate for all campus levels; and
o 75% graduation rate for secondary campuses.
 Campuses that did not meet the standards entered Stage 1 of School
Improvement for 2012-2013.
