Foxground and Berry bypass- Northbound animation transcript 00:01 - 00:18 Welcome to the Foxground and Berry bypass animated upgrade flyover. This animation aims to provide you with a visual aid of the design of the project. The traffic levels shown in this animation are indicative of the expected travel levels in the year 2017. 00:24 - 00:36 This animation shows the Foxground and Berry bypass upgrade starting at the Project’s southern boundary at Mullers Lane travelling north towards Berry. A u-turn facility at Mullers Lane will provide property access to Berry north of Mullers Lane. 00:44 - 00:54 The project will provide a four lane divided highway for a distance of 11.6 kilometers between Schofields Lane and Toolijooa Road. 00:52 - 01:02 An overhead variable message sign adjacent to the northbound lanes near Schofields Lane will display information about road and traffic conditions for northbound traffic 01:05 - 01:18 A vehicular underpass at Schofields Lane will provide access to the upgraded highway for both northbound and southbound vehicles. Property access roads will connect to the underpass on the eastern side of the upgraded highway. 01:32 - 01:39 A noise barrier will be provided adjacent to Huntingdale Park Road, to reduce the impacts of traffic noise on nearby residents. 01:42 - 01:57 The Berry southern interchange at Kangaroo Valley Road will provide access to the Berry township and local roads. This interchange includes: On and off ramps from both southbound and northbound lanes. 02:00 - 02:04 The southbound on-ramp commences from Victoria Street via a twoway connection with Queen Street. 02:05 - 02:14 Four new roundabouts providing access to Kangaroo Valley Road, Huntingdale Park Road, Rawlings Lane, Queen Street and Victoria Street 02:16 - 02:22 And a bridge at Kangaroo Valley Road over the highway with shared pedestrian cycle ways on both sides of the bridge Foxground and Berry bypass- Northbound animation transcript 02:36 - 02:48 Town Creek will be diverted to Bundewallah Creek, adjacent to Rawlings Lane. A noise barrier will be provided adjacent to North Street, reducing the impacts of traffic noise on nearby residents 02:49 - 03:02 A shared pedestrian cycle way will be provided adjacent to North Street, providing access from Kangaroo Valley Road to the Berry township, residential properties and the sporting and recreational facilities on North Street. 03:13 - 03:27 The project includes a bridge adjacent to Berry as part of the northern interchange. This bridge is 600 meters in length and has a clearance of 4.6 meters over Woodhill Mountain Road. 03:37 - 03:47 The Berry northern interchange will provide; southbound access into the Berry township and local roads, and a northbound exit from Berry via a highway underpass. 04:46 - 04:55 Access to Tindalls Lane will be provided by an ‘S’ type gradeseparated interchange with left in/ left out only connections to the highway. 05:01 - 05:05 The existing school bus facility on Tindalls Lane remain unchanged. 05:05 - 05:10 A road maintenance site is provided within the southern loop of the interchange for use by both RMS and the local council 05:32 - 05:33 A vehicular underpass has been added to the design connecting Gembrook Lane to the Tindalls Lane interchange, improving access to the upgraded highway. 05:48 - 06:04 A combined flood mitigation / vehicular underpass and wildlife crossing between Tindalls Lane and Austral Park Road has been included in the design. This will provide flood relief for adjacent residences and improve access to properties on both sides of the highway 06:04 - 06:10 Access roads and direct property accesses have been designed for left in/left out only movements to the upgraded highway. Foxground and Berry bypass- Northbound animation transcript 06:13 - 06:22 An interchange at Austral Park Road will provide access to Foxground and Berry and improves the connection to Austral Park Road for local traffic.
