1 EXHIBIT 1 2 3 RESOLUTION NO. 2012 - 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HALLANDALE BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE WORK ORDER NO. 1 FOR PROFESSIONAL AND PLANNING SERVICES WITH AECOM TECHNICAL SERVICES, INC., UTILIZING RFP #2007-2008-004, CONTINUING SERVICES AND COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES, TO CREATE A WAYFINDING AND SIGNAGE PLAN AND A GATEWAY MONUMENT DESIGN IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $15,500; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 15 WHEREAS, on February 4, 2009, the City Commission approved awards of contract, for 16 RFP #FY2007-2008-004, Continuing Services and Comprehensive Services which authorizes 17 the City Manager to negotiate and enter into continuing services agreements with qualified firms 18 for project specific contracts based upon experience, capability, timing and comprehensive 19 consideration; and 20 21 WHEREAS, pursuant to City Commission award of RFP #2007-2008-004 Continuing 22 Services and Comprehensive Services, project-specific awards in excess of $50,000 are to be 23 authorized by the City Commission; and 24 25 26 WHEREAS, the award of this contract will authorize AECOM Technical Services, Inc. to proceed with creating a Wayfinding and Signage Plan and a Gateway Monument Design; and 27 28 29 WHEREAS, AECOM Technical Services, Inc. has responded as a proposer and has the experience and capability to perform these services; and 30 31 WHEREAS, staff recommends the City Commission authorize the City Manager to enter 32 into an agreement with AECOM Technical Services, Inc., as the most responsive firm for this 33 specific project. 34 35 36 37 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HALLANDALE BEACH, FLORIDA: 38 SECTION 1. City Manager Authorization. The Mayor and City Commission hereby 39 authorize the City Manager to execute an Agreement, with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. in 40 substantially the same form as the agreement attached to this resolution as Exhibit A, to create 41 a Wayfinding, Signage Plan, a Gateway Monument Design, and planning services. 42 43 44 SECTION 2. Effective Date.
