Senate is the primary University governance body where students, faculty, staff, and
administrators debate university issues and reach conclusions on the policies and
actions to be taken by the institution.

Voice of America Learning Center which offers some Miami courses and is located in

The name of the former Western College for Women (1853-1974) which was located
on the southwest corner of campus. It became the School of Interdisciplinary
Studies in 1974. In 2007, it became an individualized studies program within the
College of Arts & Science.
