The Roaring Twenties Assessment
Introduction
You know that historians call the 1920s the Roaring Twenties but do you really know why? Can you put
the pieces together in order to demonstrate how flapper girls, speakeasies, jazz music, evolution and the
Harlem Renaisannce made the 1920s roar? I think you can.
Procedure
You will be creating a short video using Explee. You will present you video at a 1920s Gallery Walk.
Phase 1: Were the 1920s a “Roaring Decade?”
You will demonstrate understanding using an example of a person or event from the 1920:

Mr. Lenz’s Example:
Yes, the 2000 teens are a roaring decade because of the huge advancements in technology and
how much our culture has changed and progressed. I look at the iphone 6 as a technological
advancement that provided a ton of news jobs for people, such as engineering jobs to create
new and improved aps and software to make the iphone 6 work so well. Also, the iphone 6 has
created a whole new digital/online culture amongst people who use new ways to communicate
across the globe like skype and emjois or pay bills/shop from anywhere in the world!
