2. Explain the difference between the different types of clouds. Be sure to include
the 3 main types as well as the prefixes and suffixes we studied. Your answer
should be no less than ½ a page, double spaced, 12 point font. Worth 1 point.
3. Explain the main types of Severe Weather, using all vocabulary learned, as well
as how meteorologists forecast upcoming weather. You must use all information
from the Forecasting 1 and 2 packets: be sure to explain the three main types of
weather maps, the types of air masses (where they come from and their effects on
weather), and the four major weather fronts and their mechanics. Worth 1 point.
4. Complete the following section review questions on pages 446-447 in your
textbook: #’s 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17. Worth 1 point.
In addition, if you complete #’s 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27, and 28 (27 and 28
refer to the U.S. Map) this will be worth 2 points.
5. Write a letter to a friend explaining what you learned about either A or B:

pictures/diagrams we looked at in class or in your text book (page 422). This
should be drawn in color and place on construction paper or a small poster. Be
sure to include captions about each process (6) in the water cycle. Worth 2

8. Draw a picture of the types of clouds. You can use one of the picture/diagrams
we looked at in class or in your textbook (page 427). This should be drawn in
color and place on construction paper or a small poster. Be sure to include
captions about the main types of clouds (3) as well as the prefixes/suffixes for the
main types (5). Therefore, you need 8 captions. Worth 2 points.
9. Create a story book/comic to teach an elementary student (aim for 2nd,3rd, or 4th
grade) about water cycle, clouds, relative humidity, severe weather, and
forecasting. You must include at least 5 facts about each topic(s). You should 8

12. Group option #2:
Stage and film an outdoor, live weather forecast as a weather team.
Above requirements for Group option #1 are the same for this option.
