Similes, Metaphors, and Personification

A cloudy winter day:

Simile- The clouds covered up the sun like a blanket covering up a
sleeping hobo.

Personification- the depressed clouds sucked the light out of the world as
they covered the sun, bringing on the cold winter day.

Metaphor- There was a blanket of clouds hanging in the sky
A windy night in October:

Personification- The wind carried the scent of candy on this Halloween
night.
