List of Judging Categories and Subcategories
Please review the list of judging categories and
subcategories before submitting an abstract to
the Denman Undergraduate Research Forum.
Your project will be judged and scored against
all other projects in your judging category.
If your project is interdisciplinary and you are
unsure of which judging category to choose,
please consult with your research advisor. Use
the provided subcategories to help you
determine the other types of projects you are
likely to be judged against in each category and
decide where your work best fits. (If listed, the
Denman Forum recommends choosing your
research advisor’s department as your
subcategory. You are able to choose one
subcategory and write in a second subcategory
if your project can fit into multiple
subcategories.)
While the subcategories are a good guide for
choosing a judging category, subcategories are
used only for purposes of matching students to
judges with a similar academic background
whenever possible.
