7th Grade-Dark Knights
School-Parent-Student Compact
South Hall Middle School
2015-2016
Dear Parent/Guardian,
South Hall Middle School students participating in the Title I, Part A program, and their families, agree that this compact
outlines how the parents, the entire school staff, and the students will share the responsibility for improved student
academic achievement as well as describes how school and parents will build and develop a partnership that will help
children achieve the State’s high standards.
To understand how working together can benefit your child, it is first important to understand our district’s and school’s
goals for student academic achievement.
Hall County School District Goals:
-In the middle schools, increase percentage of middle school students who earn Carnegie units; by 2020 90% of students earn one unit and
70% of students earn two or more units.
-Increase average CCRPI scores at least two points annually at 70% or more of HCSD schools. CCRPI scores will increase at least 2 points for
HCSD elementary, middle and high schools.
South Hall Middle School’s Goals:
As well as the middle school competency goals of our district, we will focus on:
-Students taking reasonable risks in responding, extending, questioning, and/or producing rigorous products
- Students interacting with and attempt higher level, meaningful tasks.
-Students using critical thinking skills to plan and conduct research, manage projects, solve problems, and make
informed decisions using accessible technology tools and resources.
Please review this School-Parent Compact with your child. This School-Parent Compact will be discussed with you
throughout the year at different school-family events as we work together to help your child succeed in school.
Please sign and date below to acknowledge that you have read, received, and agree to this School-Parent Compact.
Once signed, please return the form to your child’s teacher. We look forward to our school-parent partnership!
