1.3.1 State briefly how the program functions support the college mission:
The Behavioral and Social Science disciplines provide a platform of transfer level
coursework to support student success. Additionally, courses prepare students for technical
programs (such as health occupations) and to enter the workforce with additional job skills.
The behavioral and social science faculty participate actively in the ongoing assessment of
student learning at the course and degree levels.
