Points
State Finals is worth a total of 40 points per event. Points are earned with 3 goes/performances
worth 10 points each. An accumulative total (“Average”) of the times or scores is then taken from
those 3 goes to make a 4th set of points. All 4 will be placed with points from 10-1. End of the year
winner=season points coming in to the finals + all points earned at the finals. Everyone will compete
in his or her event 3 times.
Position Draw
We will do a random draw in Cutting, Barrels and Poles for the all 3 performances. All other events
will run from the CURRENT places 15th to 1st. Be sure to check the events sheets posted each day-the
places could change with each performance.
ATTENTION TEAM ROPERS
Please remember: When you enter the team roping at the State Finals, your points are added to
your partner’s points. At that point you become a team. The top fifteen teams will be placed
accordingly. You can enter with anyone you choose as long as your points place you in the top 15.
Grades
You must mail in your most current report card. For most of you it will be your 3rd quarter report
card that you probably received sometime in late March or early April. We understand that most of
you won’t have your final report card at this time therefore we will need your most recent.
Remember you must have a 2.0 GPA in order to be eligible to compete. If you have any questions

Would you like to be a student officer next year?
Student officer elections will be held at our State Finals on Saturday at 12:00 in the stands by
the bird house. Anyone interested in taking part in the arena should consider one of these
positions. It is also a great way to earn community service hours. If you have any questions please
contact Renee Bass or one of your student officers. If you would like to campaign, posters can be
hung around the concession areas and barn areas. You are responsible for cleaning up anything that
you have displayed. Please do not hang anything in the arena. This is not permitted!
Adult Membership Meeting – Saturday June 11th @ 11:00
We will be nominating and electing our adult officers and directors for next year. This is a great
opportunity to get involved in the association. We hope all our members will plan to attend this year.
Meeting will be held in the stands under the birdhouse.

THE TOP 4 IN EACH EVENT AFTER STATE FINALS WILL BE QUALIFIED TO COMPETE AT THE NATIONAL FINALS
(Positions are placed by total points earned all season + points earned at the State Finals)
We will have a mandatory National qualifiers meeting on Sunday, June 14th at 9:00am for the National Finalist Team.
ALL NATIONAL PAPERWORK AND FEES MUST BE COMPLETED AND TURNED IN AT STATE FINALS – YOU MAY NEED
MORE THAN ONE CHECK FOR THE NATIONAL FEES
If it looks like you are qualifying for Nationals and you know you are not going to attend, please let me know as soon as
possible. That way I can contact the next person in line and they can be at this meeting on Sunday.
National Basket
We are in need of items that represent our State of Florida. Anything Florida goes! Each state team, at the National
Finals, presents a basket to be auctioned off at Nationals. All the state baskets are set out with our states name on it for
everyone to see. Please help our team and bring an item to donate.

State Championship Finals
The FHSRA is open to all contestants who are members of the FHSRA in good standing with the Association and who
have placed in the top 15 of an event during the current year. In the event of a tie at the 15th position, the ties will be
picked up. You may enter any events in which you placed in the top 15. This form must be completely filled out and all
required signatures affixed and returned to the Association’s State Secretary. Postmarked on or before May 27th.
Those contestants who place in the top 4 of their event after state finals are eligible for the National High School Finals
Rodeo. ALL FEES MUST ACCOMPANY THIS FORM OR THE ENTRY FORM WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. CALL IN FOR
THE FINALS WILL BE TUESDAY, MAY 26TH FROM 6-9 PM. RENEE BASS 863-441-0025. IT IS ADVISED THAT THE
TOP TWENTY CALL IN JUST IN CASE SOMEONE DECIDES NOT TO ENTER THE FINALS.

refunded unless State Secretary is notified AT LEAST seven (7) days before first performance. All monies will

Stall and RV Hook Up Form
You will reserve your RV Site and Stalls during State Finals Rodeo Call In. You are allowed one
stall per event that requires a horse. Steer Wrestlers and Cutters are allowed 2 stalls for these
events. You will be allowed one RV Hookup. Hookups and stalls are limited and will be on
first to call in basis. Tie outs and generators are permitted. There will not be any charge for
stalls and hookups at the finals. Shavings will be available for purchase on the grounds for
$6.50/Bag. You may bring your own shavings but please note that they must be large flake.

printed on the back of the t-shirt. The design and color has not been finalized but it will be a
short sleeve, colored shirt and the design will be different from last year. Anyone can order a
t-shirt. You do not have to qualify for the state finals in order to purchase a shirt. T-shirts
come in sizes small –XXXl. Please note sizes and quantities you wish to purchase.
