You have to sell at least 10 tickets and turn your money in by Sept 14, 2013 but don’t stop selling until Saturday night and you could be the BIG winner of a 100.00 gift card from NRS!! We have several contestants running a close race for the prize!!! The 2013 Finals are right around the corner – October 4th and 5th at Boone County Fairgrounds in Columbia. The AFRA board has worked very hard this year and we should have between 15,000 to 20,000 to hand out in added money and prizes!! Big difference in the numbers is we are not sure who all will be attending finals yet!! The prize structure will be changing to match more in line with other rodeo associations and we hope that our contestants will enjoy the new format. From You Director Pam!! Only 2 more rodeos for the 2013 season, it doesn’t seem possible. Hope everyone is looking forward to the Finals this year, looks like we are going to have a good turn out in the roping events. We are working on getting the calves, so they will be broke in by the finals and let everyone have a good shot of winning! We have some fun things planned for the finals this year that will be new and exciting so be ready to join in. I’m proud of all the progress I’ve seen in our young ropers this year, it shows they have all been practicing and working hard to hone their skills. Good Job everyone. I would like to thank you all, for making this year a real pleasure to be your roping director. It’s has been a very rewarding 2 year term and I’ve made a lot of good friends in the AFRA. I would like you all to be thinking about the director’s job and please consider taking the position, I know that you are all very capable and would do a great job. Keeping practicing and be ready to have a great finals!! See ya down the road. Pam Dress Themes this year will be Friday – Tuff enough to wear PINK!!
