shortages in the trades of cook, metal fabricator and

Trades Skills Centre. The Trades Skills Centre
includes the construction of a commercial kitchen
with teaching café, an adjoining horticultural centre
with a multimedia theory space, a greenhouse
facility and a demonstration working urban size
allotment and also the provision of equipment. It will
deliver qualifications in food processing, horticulture
and hospitality to address skills shortages in
horticulture and in the trades of baker, cook and
landscape gardener.
Funding was approved to establish the Lavalla
Catholic College Trades Skills Centre. The Trades
Skills Centre includes the construction of a new
facility with workshops for engineering,
electrotechnology and construction and also the
provision of equipment. It will deliver qualifications
in construction and engineering to address skills
shortages in the trades of carpenter and joiner,
electronic equipment trades worker, fitter (general)
and telecommunications technician.

deliver qualifications in allied health to address skills
shortages in the occupations in local demand of
allied health assistant, nurse (enrolled), nurse
(registered) and occupational therapy assistant.
