APPLICATION PACKAGE ALL application packages must include the following: Completed Application Academic Transcript: High school seniors and college students, please provide a transcript that includes the fall semester or trimester for the current academic year. If you have already graduated from high school or college, please provide your final transcript. Transcripts can be obtained from your high school counseling office or college records office. Letter of Recommendation: Please provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, principal, coach, employer, or neighbor. Choose someone who knows you and who can write about your character, performance, personal attributes and your ability/determination to reach your goal. (Letters from family members will not be accepted.) Make sure the person who writes the Letter of Recommendation signs the letter. To be eligible, prior recipients must carry at least a 2.5 GPA. Like all applicants, prior recipients need to submit a Letter of Recommendation (from an instructor or advisor at the college) and their most recent transcript. (A total scholarship of $295 will be awarded to cover the cost of the license application and State exam, (i.e. $195 to the State of Michigan for the application and $100 to PSI for the exam.) (For example, if you completed the Jackson Area Career Center’s Construction Trades Program, please provide a copy of your Completer’s Certificate.
