We also have a lot of resources geared just to your subject area: Secondary Subjects Links to websites and organizations related to your subject area Amazing resource to find information quickly! Social Sciences and Humanities Some resources that may help you are: The Vanier Institute of the Family Canadian Social Trends There are more which you can try but again, these are your best bets! We don’t have a LOT of books on your subjects but we do have some! Using the library catalogue will help you find them. Library Catalogue This helps you to find BOOKS! Type in the search box the topic or subject you are looking for. Once you’ve exhausted your options on the school library website another wonderful site for you to try is called Knowledge Ontario. These resources are free to anyone with an Ontario IP address! Knowledge Ontario Databases http://eresources.knowledgeontario.ca/?cat=21 There are several databases that you can access here but we’re going to show you the ones where you can find the BEST information for this assignment. These 5 databases are going to have the MOST information for your project – they have access to academic journals, magazine articles and all that other GOOD stuff that Mrs. Topos is looking for. Finally, the Toronto Public Library has a TON of books and online databases that might be helpful, all you need access this information is a Library card! If you don’t have one, go to your local branch with some ID and proof of residency in Toronto and you can get one FREE!! In the Social Sciences, the tradition is the use APA format but you should double check with your teacher which style she prefers.
