From the College and Career Center:
We will be holding a Resume Workshop, a week from today in the College &
Career Center, from 12:00-1:00pm. If you are looking for a job, or a senior
submitting college applications, you will need to attend this workshop.
Sign-ups for the Resume workshop is today In the Career Center
All 11th graders! The PSAT test will be given on OCTOBER 14th. If you would like
to take it please see Ms. Hicks in the College and Career Center or your Counselor
to get the necessary paperwork to sign up for it
Are you interested in educating your peers about sex and being safe? Become a
peer educator. You need to be available ten hours a month, weekends and
evenings. See Ms. Catlett….
There will be a CSF meeting today at lunch in K5. All members come, we will be
discussing elections!!!

Homecoming Dance Tickets will be on sale today. $10 in the Controllers office.
ONLY during lunch and after school. Last day to purchase Homecoming Dance
Tickets is next Thursday during lunch.
Homecoming royalty applications are due today in A-2, please see Ms. V.
Next week is Spirit Week, Monday is twins day. Hippie Day is Tuesday …. watch

Sports Stuff ….
Varsity soccer defeated Hiram Johnson yesterday 3-0. Another shutout pitched
by goalie Patrick Roy.
"Mikey" Miguel Villa scored on a beautiful cross from Zeb for the first goal ,
Henry circus Vargas , and Yo Adrian Garcia scored goals as well.
Good Job Varsity!
JV Got its sixth win in league 4-1 over HJ
Jumping John Rosales, Yi-Hu Her, Jet-Li Vang and Andres "Buffin" Botano scored
goals for JV.
Great Job Titans!
The Titan football team takes on Valley High School this afternoon. JV kicks off
at 3:30 while the varsity will kick off at 5:15. Come on out and root on the
Titans.

Harm Reduction Services will here every Thursday at lunchtime in A-14. They
provide STD testing and general info on STDs, birth control, pregnancy, etc.
The Lesbian Gay Straight Alliance will meet every Wednesday at lunchtime in
room E-11. Our first meeting of the year will be today. Join us at lunchtime in
room E-11 and help end bullying and harassment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and
transgender students. All are welcome.
Latinos Unidos Club will meet Thursdays and Mondays during lunch in room P-2.
Everyone is welcome.
Open Mic Night will be every Thursday from 3pm-4pm in the Cafeteria.

Freshman, junior varsity and varsity men’s basketball conditioning is in full
swing with just a month away from tryouts on Nov. 9th. Coach Lindsey wants
you to know you must have a sports physical signed by a doctor to tryout.

Career Center

Friday, Oct 23. Football team photos will be on Thursday, Oct. 22.
