Title
What will you call your project?
Abstract
Briefly describe, in one paragraph, the grade level, subject area, and goals for
the curriculum project.
Description
Describe the intended setting for which the curriculum piece is designed,
including:

grade level / subject area
Timeframe
State the intended length of instruction (one ninety-minute class period, a two
week unit, etc)
Curriculum Goals
Justification for the curriculum (i.e. Why is this topic important? or How does this
lesson fit into the overall subject matter of my course?)
Lesson Activities
Include timeframe, sequence of activities, and required materials.
Travel Activities
What locations in China will you visit, what experiences will you seek, and what
objects will you acquire to facilitate your instruction of the lesson?
Assistance
Will you need assistance in China to implement your project? What type of
assistance might you need?
II. Extracurricular/Community Activities

What is the setting for your activity?

Prior to our June departure, are there resources in your own community that
might provide assistance for your activity?

What materials, contacts, or travel will you need to implement the activity? Do
you require assistance with these matters in China?
Possible Extracurricular and Community Activities:
1. Link between community group (Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, State
Department of Commerce, etc.) and community (sister-city?)
2. Submission of an article to, or interview by, a local newspaper.
3. Public speaking opportunities (church groups, service clubs, professional
organizations, P.T.O., faculty groups, etc.)
