2010-2011 AWC Clubs and Organizations
The Science Club- The Science Club serves and promotes science learning and experiences to
AWC and NAU students on the AWC campus. We participate in a number of activities
throughout the year including the Sustainability Fair, Family Night, counting trees and planting
trees for the BLM as well as any other opportunities that may present themselves. In addition,
we may conduct various fund raising projects which support special field trips to see and
experience science away from Yuma. There is no special process for admission into the club.
We typically meet every other Thursday throughout the year. Look for announcements posted
via the Science list serve or on the walls of the AS or SR building.

The Main Campus AWC/NAU Rotaract Club- The AWC/NAU Rotaract Club is part of a global
effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world. All students are welcome to
join us as we collaborate to serve the campus, the Yuma community, and our friends across the
planet. Members of Rotaract have access to many of the resources and social connections of
Rotary International, who provide us with support and advice. We hold formal meetings every
other week to plan fund-raising, promote local charities, stimulate student involvement on
campus, and plan parties! We definitely want to be a club were students can have fun, but the
true purpose of our club is to have a provide opportunities for young men and women to learn
leaderships skills and to discover the satisfaction that comes from serving others.
