DEBRIS RECOVERY PLAN: Pre-Construction and/or Pre-Demolition All GreenPoint Rated projects must account for all waste generated. New Home projects must recycle at least 50% by weight of all waste generated by construction of a new building and, if applicable, demolition of an old structure. Existing Home projects must recycle all cardboard, concrete, asphalt & metals. This form prepares builders to meet these requirements by identifying wastes and the facilities which will process them. Page 1 of this form shall be completed by the builder/developer and submitted by the Rater at the beginning of the project. Instructions: Builder indicates whether each material will be reused on site, recycled or land-filled by placing an X in the corresponding cell. Write what form of documentation is expected to track each material, for example, hauler tags, monthly invoice, etc. If materials will be reused on site, mark as reuse and state the application, for example, “wood chipped on site for landscape.” For any donated materials, check reuse and write “donated to {recipient}” in facility column. For all other wastes, a specific facility should be identified. Please print clearly. Filing page 2 of this document with GreenPoint Rated is not mandatory. Summarize debris recovery here based on copies of receipts, tags, invoices, etc. Instructions: Indicate which materials were reused, recycled, land-filled or donated by checking the appropriate box and providing the name of each facility or service provider and the weight. If materials were reused on site, mark as reuse and state the application, for example, “wood chipped on site for landscape.” For any donated materials, check reuse and write “donated to {recipient}” in facility column. If documents do not itemize each waste, and show only mixed C&D debris, write “mixed C&D” beside ‘other’ in the material column. For more information, including verification and estimating various weights, see “additional resources” for measure A2 in any GreenPoint Rated Manual.
