past year. The rosary will be said at 7:40 AM before mass. The families of the deceased
Knights will be notified and invited to attend this mass. Donuts and coffee will be served in the

Members are Needed for the First Degree Team
There is a need for several members of the exemplification team which creates new members of
the Knights of Columbus. If you can help fill this need, contact Past Grand Knight Joe
Schalasky at 812-471-3048 and he will explain the functions of the team.
Quarterly Corporate Mass & Communion at St. Anthony on December 6, 2015
Please mark your calendar for Sunday, December 6, 2015 for our Quarterly Mass & Communion
at St. Anthony Church, 704 First Ave. Mass will begin at 10:30 AM but there will not be a
rosary said before mass. This late mass was selected so that we can walk across the street to
Hacienda and have a delicious lunch. Come and worship with your Brother Knights and their
families. Look for the Hacienda tokens in the November Newsletter which are needed to give to
the waitress when paying your bill so that 20% can be given back to our Council. We will also
pass out the tokens to St. Anthony parishioners who attend mass that day.

Go to the Madonna. Love her! Always say the Rosary. Say it well. Say it as often as you can!
Be souls of prayer. Never tire of praying; it is what is essential. Prayer shakes the Heart of God;

Saint of the Month
Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, or Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, O.C.D., was a
French Discalced Carmelite nun. She is popularly known as "The Little Flower of Jesus" or
simply, "The Little Flower". Few saints of God are more popular than this young nun. Her
autobiography, The Story of a Soul, is read and loved throughout the world. Thérèse Martin
entered the convent at the age of 15 and died in 1897 at the age of 24. She was canonized in
1925, and two years later she and St. Francis Xavier were declared co-patrons of the missions.
Life in a Carmelite convent is indeed uneventful and consists mainly of prayer and hard domestic
work. But Thérèse possessed that holy insight that redeems the time, however dull that time may
be. She saw in quiet suffering redemptive suffering, suffering that was indeed her apostolate.
Thérèse said she came to the Carmel convent "to save souls and pray for priests." And shortly
before she died, she wrote: "I want to spend my heaven doing good on earth."
On October 19, 1997, Pope John Paul II proclaimed her a Doctor of the Church, the third woman
to be so recognized, in light of her holiness and the influence on the Church of her teaching on
spirituality. Her parents, Louis Martin and Zélie Martin were beatified in 2008.
