Headteacher: Laura Noble Telephone: 01244 981260 email: admin@tattenhallpark.cheshire.sch.uk www.tattenhallpark.cheshire.dbprimary.com Cheshire West & Chester Council Tattenhall Park Primary School Chester Road, Tattenhall Chester CH3 9AH 2nd October 2015 Dear Parents Sharing Assembly Thank you to Year 4 for hosting the assembly this morning and sharing their latest news. I would also like to thank all the parents and children in Year 4 for the huge amount of cakes that they have sent in for the sale this afternoon! Please note that there is no assembly next week. KS2 Dinner Money Mrs Grogan, our school cook, has been experiencing discrepancies with the number of school dinners ordered and those taken every day this week. Each day she has been met with more children to feed than the number predicted by those who have pre-ordered on Monday morning. Currently Key Stage 2 children are allowed to select days on which they choose to have a school meal by sending an envelope clearly marked with your child’s name, class and selected days into school on Monday mornings. This system is clearly not working as Mrs Grogan is having to provide meals last minute on a daily basis. If parents prefer to choose different days for school meals, it is imperative that your child is absolutely clear on which days have been paid for and that this is accurately reported to the class teacher each morning when the dinner register is taken. Thank you. Dinner Menu Next week we will be following the menus for Week 2 for school dinners. Nativity Costumes We are in desperate need of any large pieces of material (1mx2m) in colours suitable for making nativity costumes (nb. we currently have plenty of angel costumes). If you can help in any way please send any fabrics into school marked for the attention of Mrs Armstrong. Thank you. School Council Recipe Book The School Council are hoping to compile a school recipe book in time for the Autumn Fair on Thursday 26th November. They would welcome any tried and tested favourite recipes which can be written on A4 paper and handed to a school councillor by Monday 19th October. Photographs/drawings of the finished products or action shots of the children cooking the food can be included. Unfortunately we will not be able to feature every recipe dependent on the numbers received so please do not be disappointed if your recipe is not included this time. All proceeds from the sale of the books will be used to purchase items for school. School Club Cancellations As we have Parents’ Evenings on Tuesday and Thursday next week the clubs which take place on Tuesday 6th October and Thursday 8th October will be cancelled. The football club run by Mr Harrison will take place as usual on Tuesday after school.
