Religion Project Directions:
Today we will be starting our class project further researching the religions that have been covered in
the text book. Each person in your group will have one of the four roles that are here. You are
responsible for researching and presenting that section to the class. Remember, the goal is not to be too
detailed, but at the same time we need to learn more information than what the Text book provided to
us. Presentations will need to last at least five minutes. Please ensure that everything gets covered.
Research Roles
1. The history of the founding of your religion and the history and the history/stories that are in
the collection of writings about your religion (for example the Vedas for Hinduism).
2. Places of worship and their significance within the religion
3. What are the key principles of the Religion? Be sure to provide some detail. (for example, the
five pillars of Islam)
4. What sort of after-life/final stage does your religion believe?
Requirements of the Project:




Presentation. You will be presenting to the class (they should last at least 5 minutes).
Some type of handout for the class to ensure participation and understanding
Complete participation by all members of the group
Have a works cited page (MLA format)
