News Story Research
Bring to class the key information/newspaper article on a recent news
story that has interested you. Be prepared to discuss/present this
information to the rest of the class.
Ensure you include:
o Write down the name of the source/site; the writer/presenter’s name
(if appropriate) and the date the story was released/published.
o Key points about the story (what
involved, where, when, why, how etc.)
happened,
who
was
o Explain the reaction/views/perspective of the media/public
o Your views/thoughts on the story
o Only use broadsheet newspapers (including if researching online)
and/or Verified News Websites e.g. BBC News etc.
o No tabloids/unverified sources.
