(Saskatoon, SK) – Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has returned to the building!!!
After a decade-long absence from the Tour, two-time Olympic Silver Medallist, three-time World Champion,
and seven-time Canadian Champion Elvis Stojko is returning to Canada’s premier figure skating tour, Investors
Group Stars on Ice presented by Lindt. The Tour will visit Saskatoon on Saturday, May 14 for a 7:30 PM
performance at the Sasktel Centre.
Since his last Stars on Ice performance in 2006, Stojko was inducted into the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame;
wrote a book about his career called "Heart and Soul;" played smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn in a
production of “Chicago, the Musical;” released an album; became a professional Go-Kart racer; won a Kung Fu
championship; and married Mexican figure skater Gladys Orozco. Yet despite that insanely busy plate, Stojko’s
love for figure skating has brought him back to Stars on Ice.
Elvis will join a star-studded ensemble of Canada’s most beloved skaters in the Investors Group Stars on Ice
presented by Lindt 2016 Tour. This year’s cast includes 2010 Olympic Gold Medallists, two-time World
Champions and six-time Canadian Champions Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir; three-time World Champion, 2014
Olympic Silver Medallist, and seven-time Canadian Champion Patrick Chan; 2015 World Champions, 2014
Olympic Silver Medallists, and reigning four-time Canadian Champions Meagan Duhamel & Eric Radford;
Olympic Bronze Medallist and six-time Canadian Champion Joannie Rochette; Olympic Bronze Medallist,
World Champion and three-time Canadian Champion Jeffrey Buttle; and 2015 Canadian Champions and twotime World Medallists Kaitlyn Weaver & Andrew Poje. Four-time World Champion and four-time Canadian
Champion Kurt Browning will make guest appearances at select shows throughout the tour. Please visit
