This event aims at enhancing youth employment and promotion of Kosovar businesses. US Trade Mission 2013 American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo is organizing the 2013 US Trade Mission which this year features participation in the International Franchise Expo, that will take place from June 20-22, 2013 in New York City as well as the Kosovo-Iowa Business Forum, which is being organized together with the Greater Des Moines Partnership business organization. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………................................................... HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MONTH DAY OF GOOD WILL - Ceremonial Granting of Donations for Children Without Parents in the "SOS Chlidren's Village" Coca-Cola Hellenic Kosovo, in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo and the CSR Network Kosovo, organized the “Day of Good Will” in the SOS Children’s Village in Prishtina. The project partners presented the SOS center with donations of more than 7000 EUR, collected through a ten day fundraising drive, and organized a fun day for the children with volunteers from their companies and entertainment by Fatmir Spahiu and Astrit Kabashi. Charity Foundation of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo organized "Wine Tasting Event" Charity Foundation of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo organized "Wine Tasting Event" in order to collect funds for charity projects, through the contribution of the business community, representatives of diplomatic missions, international organizations and local institutions. Launching event of fundraising for children without Parental Care of "SOS Children's Villages" On April 19, 2013, Coca-Cola Hellenic Kosovo in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo and Kosovo CSR Network invited all companies, partners and citizens to join them in an effort to raise funds and provide donations for children without parental care in the SOS Children's Villages during next ten days (April 20, 2013). The Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Nenad Rashic, added: "The project is of national importance, and I call everyone to contribute to this worthy cause and organization." He emphasized the support of the Ministry for such projects, aiming to help the most defenseless groups and bring a prospect of a better future for those who need it most. Construction Law Reforms improve the Business Environment and help attracting Foreign Investments On April 11, 2013, the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo (AmCham Kosovo) organized a round table on Construction Law Reforms in Kosovo, in order to discuss the new changes on this law, as well as its impact on the business community. With particular emphasis, it was discussed the fact that Construction Law reforms are important not only for the improvement of the business environment in our country, but also for the attraction of foreign investments from various sectors. US Ambassador reconfirms her support to AmCham Kosovo The Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo had a working luncheon on April 8th, 2013, with Her Excellency, the US Ambassador in Kosovo, Tracey Ann Jacobson. US Ambassador in Kosovo initially expressed her appreciation to the members of AmCham Kosovo Board of Governors for their time and dedication, given that they are busy in their other activities as well. AmCham presents investing opportunities in Kosovo to Slovenian businesses On the occasion of the first anniversary of the cooperation agreement signed by AmCham Alternative Dispute Resolution Center and the Permanent Arbitration Tribunal of Slovenia, the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo in cooperation with Slovenia Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized the first Business and Arbitration Forum in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where a large number of Kosovar and Slovenian businesses were present.
