Compost by Nathan Cooney In school we learned about compost. A person called Joan talked about it. We learned that you can put in leaves, banana skins, orange skins, veg, twigs and leaves. There are four rules about composting. First you need a mixture of greens and browns. Second you need to be careful about the size and amount you put into the composting box. Third you need to add moisture to it. And last you need to turn it to let the air get into it. We have no compost at school but the children came up with a rule that every second week the teachers take home the school’s compost. We are working really hard to receive our Green Flag and are learning lots of new ways to help our environment. ISPCC by Kieran Lee We are collecting used stamps for the ISPCC.
