Toastmaster – please see the MISSING MANUAL for more details.
This is a rough guideline to make your job easier – you can modify it of course, that is
why we have it online in .doc format –
Remember to send YOUR INTRODUCTION to the PRESIDENT before the meeting.
Fellow Toastmasters and most welcome guests, my name is __________, and it gives
me great pleasure to be the toastmaster for our meeting tonight.
For the benefit of our new members and guests, I would like to explain how the
meetings are structured. Our meetings are divided into 3 parts. THE 1st part is called
TABLE TOPICS. TABLE TOPICS teaches us how to speak extemporaneously, to handle
those impromptu questions we’re often asked in life. THE 2nd section is PREPARED
SPEECHES, where speakers prepare their own speeches according to different manual
requirements. FINALLY, THE 3rd portion of the meeting is the EVALUATION section, speakers receive immediate feedback from other experienced members of the club
giving them positive pointers and some manageable next steps for improvement.
FUNCTIONARIES
It takes several members to effectively run our TT meetings, so to help me take care of
the different responsibilities, we have FUNCTIONARIES. I would like to introduce
tonight’s functionaries .
