Falling Leaves
Little leaves fall softly down,
Red and yellow, orange and brown.
Whirling, twirling round and round,
Falling softly to the ground.
Little leaves fall softly down
To make a carpet on the ground
Then swish,
The wind comes whistling by
And sends them dancing to the sky
Pumpkins
A farmer grew pumpkins;
So, late in the fall,
He went out one day
And gathered them all.
The biggest and roundest
He sent to the fair,
In hopes of winning
A blue ribbon there.
The rest went to the market,
Except for a few;
His wife made some pies
Of all except two.
And what of the two?
Oh, they’re a surprise,
With long, jagged teeth
And light in their eyes!
Fall
I see red, orange, yellow, and brown
Leaves are falling to the ground.
On my head and on my hand
I wonder where they all will land.
Apples are so good to eat
I think they taste sour and sweet.
Pumpkins round, smooth and bumpy
Baked in pies smells so yummy.
Birds are chirping in the trees
Boys and girls are crunching leaves.
These things happen in the fall
A season filled with fun for all.
Fall is Here!
Fall is here, it is easy to see.
The leaves are falling from the trees.
Red, yellow, orange, green, purple, and brown,
Leaves are falling down, down, down.
The days are cooler, it is easy to see.
The season has changed right in front of me.
From summer to fall in three months time.
The apples and pumpkins are at their prime.
Fall is here, it is easy to see.
The squirrels are collecting nuts right in front of me.
The seasons change all through the year,
Before you know it winter will be here.
Fall is here, it is easy to see.
The leaves are falling from the trees.
Red, yellow, orange, green, purple, and brown,
Leaves are falling down, down, down.
My Perfect Pumpkin Pick!
I picket a pumpkin from the patch,
A pumpkin orange and round.
It was the best one on the farm,
The largest to be found.
I rolled the pumpkin to my house,
And carved it right away.
I filled it up with candle light,
And put it on display.
The pumpkin jack-o-lantern,
Was as festive as could be.
I kept it out all autumn long,
For everyone to see!
Halloween is Almost Here!
Halloween is almost here
Goblins and ghosts, oh the fear!
Scary carved pumpkins may bring me tears
Black cats lingering like the midnight sky,
And witches are magicians on their broomsticks ready to fly,
Leaves crunch under my feet
Autumn smells are sweet like Halloween treats
Bobbing for apples is my favorite thing to do
But I always hesitate to drink witches’ brew
So jump for joy and sound the horn,
Relax and have some candy corn
