Ecosphere Environmental Services seeks a Stormwater Compliance Manager/Inspector for oil and gas projects in southwest Colorado. The successful candidate should have experience writing stormwater management plans, recommending best management practices (BMPs), evaluating sites for erosion and sediment control, and inspecting sites for compliance with State of Colorado regulations. We are soliciting resumes from qualified individuals for the position of Stormwater Compliance Manager/Inspector for our Cortez, Colorado office. This is a full time position. Pay will be based upon individual experience and qualifications. Job Duties Conduct field inspections. Address stormwater-related issues. Prepare stormwater inspection forms and communicates recommended BMPs to client and contractors. Participate in planning meetings with client and contractors. Research approved plans and drainage reports, property ownership records, aerial photos, topographic contour maps, utility records, and other related documents as necessary. Prepare reports, documents inspections, issues notices and letters, photograph property conditions, and maintain required records. Use a computer database, GPS, and GIS for reporting and record keeping. Read and visually interpret site issues quickly and accurately in order to measure compliance. Preferred Education and Experience Any combination of education and experience equivalent to at least 2 years of experience in drainage inspection, stormwater inspection, stormwater permit compliance, or code enforcement--preferably including the application and interpretation of rules and regulations. College coursework in civil engineering, engineering technology, environmental studies, construction management, geography, and/or other relevant courses is desirable. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in both the field and professional office environment. This job entails working outdoors for extended periods of time in a variety of weather conditions. Office work includes using computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines. Use of a motor vehicle is essential for performance of this position. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is not a sedentary role--some lifting or hiking may be required occasionally. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Full-time position--40 hours per week. Normal work days and hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Travel Limited field work and travel throughout the Four Corners states may be required periodically.
