Styrofoam Recycle Although Styrofoam products have the recycle sign on them and many of us do recycle them, they end up in the landfill because our garbage and recycle facilities do not have a way to process Styrofoam. Hello everyone! Many of you have been contributing to the Styrofoam Recycle Project and I, Isheeta, want to thank you all! The project has had an overwhelming response and I am excited to continue this coming year. Here are the dates for 2012: January 28, 2012 February 25, 2012 March 24, 2012 (Spring Break is starting the last weekend of March therefore I have moved the collection back by a week) April 28, 2012 May 26, 2012 June 30, 2012 July 28, 2012 August 25, 2012 September 29, 2012 October 27, 2012 November 17, 2012 (Thanksgiving weekend is the last weekend of November therefore I have moved the collection back by a week) There will be no collection as of now in December because of winter break. The dates of winter break are uncertain right now therefore when a date comes up I will post it on the Facebook® page. I would like to tell you that the recycling center in Renton does not take Jamba Juice ® cups, packing peanuts, or soft packing foam. In addition, please remember to remove tape, bubble wrap, etc. from the Styrofoam because the facility doesn’t separate the trash from the Styrofoam. The bins will be out on my drive way, so please put washed, cleaned Styrofoam in them. My address: 10812 Muirwood Way NE, Redmond, WA 98053 Thank you all very much for participating! Any questions?
