Department Summary:
Programs in the department are nationally accredited through the Association of
Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering. Graduates find employment in a
variety of engineering and management positions. Graduates find ready employment.
Assessment data shows more than 90% of our graduates are employed in a position
directly relating to their degree program of study. The latest alumni survey indicates an
average salary of $66,000.

Faculty/Staff & Their Expertise:
Noureddine Bekhouche, B.S.E.E., University of Annaba, M.S.E.E., Polytechnic University of
New York and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, West Virginia University; Professor. He has
teaching responsibility in Applied Electronics Engineering and Applied Manufacturing
Engineering
Jess Godbey, B.S.I.E. and M.S.I.E., University of Michigan, Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering,
Auburn University, Associate Professor. Dr. Godbey worked in engineering and management with
Ford Motor Company for a number of years before deciding to make a career of teaching. He
holds certification as an OSHA instructor and routinely provides consulting and training services
to area industry. He has teaching responsibilities in the major core, Occupational Safety and Health
Management, and Manufacturing Management.
Dana Ingalsbe, B.S. in Biochemistry, Roberts Wesleyan College; M.S. and Ph.D. in Pulp and
Paper Science, Institute of Paper Science and Technology; Associate Professor. Dr. Ingalsbe serves
as the coordinator of the graduate program in Manufacturing Systems Technology.
Terry M. Marbut, B.S. and M.S.E.E., University of Alabama at Birmingham,
Instructor/Department Head. Mr. Marbut worked in engineering with Goodyear Tire and Rubber
company before coming to JSU. His background is in industrial controls and quality. He has
teaching responsibilities in the major core, Applied Electronics Engineering and Applied
Manufacturing Engineering.
Chris Marker, B.S. in Electronics Technology, Jacksonville State University. Mr. Marker has
worked for 20+ years as an engineer in the manufacturing industry prior to joining JSU. He has
significant experiences in machine design. He is leading the effort in developing the Alabama
Power Robotics Education Center and serves as a primary resource for area industries.
Teje Sult, B.S. in Technology, Jacksonville State University, M.S. in Safety, Murray State
University, Ms. Sult worked for Lear Corporation in safety prior to joining JSU as an Instructor.
Her teaching responsibilities are in the major core, safety, and Applied Manufacturing
Engineering.
